John Connor Awards
Rachel MacKay was given the overall prize for best business innovation and £750 for her online boutique, Chantilly Lace.
The John Connor Awards were launched last year by PSYBT following a £150,000 donation from Mr Connor, owner of Kilsyth-based Stirling Fibre.
The Edinburgh-born businessman, who was brought up in poverty in Saughton, worked his way to the top of his business after a stint in the Merchant Navy.
Mr Connor said: "I am delighted to be in a position to help people with their self-employment ambitions. They are inspiring individuals and deserve to be applauded for their outstanding achievements and for creating sustainable and successful businesses."
